Follower limit

or how to grow your follower count

We’re sorry, but you have to have at least 1000 followers to have access to our platform.
These dreaded words follow a startup streamer everywhere. This should not be taken as disencouragement, rather as fuel to get better and reach a broader audience.

The reason that we have a follow limit on our site is to allow all of our accepted streamers an equal chance at landing sponsorship deals on the platform.
Brands are picky these days, and without a minimum number of followers it’s easy to get frustrated as a streamer when brands aren’t responding to your proposals.
But don’t take this the wrong way! We hope that this only inspires you to grow you Twitch channel and take your livestreaming game to the next level.

There are a ton of ways that you can grow your follower count as a streamer! Here are some of our favorites:
  1. Host other streamers.

Hosting is a great way to connect with other streamers in your area spread support. Plus, they’ll probably raid you back later in return!
  2. Join a streaming community.

There are tons of Facebook and Discord groups you can join that allow you to promote your stream. Just be sure to make your promotion unique; the simple, “check out my stream” won’t get you much attention.
Speaking of which, that’s exactly what we do on the PowerSpike Discord! Click here to join our conversation and interact with other likeminded streamers.
  3. Conduct giveaways.

Every once and a while, giving back to the community for their loyalty is a perfect way to show your thanks and grow your follower base. Find a paid product from a game you enjoy and offer it to anyone who follows one or multiple social media accounts you have.
  4. Create an enticing title.

The simple, “playing some games, come hang out” just isn’t as effective as it used to be. Before you write your title, think about how you can catch the attention of your potential viewer. How can you be different with your title? Funny? This is a field to show your personality, so customize it as much as possible.
  5. Post your stream to all social media accounts.

If you haven’t already, be sure that you have a social media account for your stream on any relevant platforms. My personal favorite is Twitter; instant and personalized updates allow your followers to know exactly when you hit that start broadcast button.

We hope that you’ll be able to use these tips wisely to grow your channel and one day be a part of our platform.
We hope to see you here again in the near future!
